Resources for Proposals in Climate & Forests  

This document represents a collection of resources from the Technical Advisory Panel as an addition to those referenced in the RFP document. These are intended to provide assistance in obtaining relevant background information, preparing a competitive proposal, and completing quality work.  

These resources are not intended to be exhaustive nor authoritative. This document does not represent an endorsement of work by the Lacuna Fund Secretariat, the TAP, or individual members.  

DATA COLLECTION TOOLS 

  • Collect Earth – enables data collection through Google Earth and access to high resolution satellite imagery. 
  • ODK – open-source suite of tools that allows for data collection and submission offline. 
  • Geo-Wiki – provides monitoring of the earth’s surface by classifying satellite, drone or ground-level imagery. 
  • ArcGIS Survey123 – used to create, share, and analyze forms and data 
  • HarvestNow – uses satellite Earth observations to monitor and estimate crop production; create and test yield models.

  • Planet – provides daily satellite data.

  • Zooniverse – citizen science web portal hosting the largest platform of people-powered research.
